Zaybu 3D Scanning is a patented mechanical design providing a platform for the optimal 3D scanning process. It is designed for one or more cabled cameras to be mounted on an inner frame to be rotated around a subject.

The design enables fast, smooth rotation providing the perfect mechanism for 3D scanning.

They key to the success of the design is the 'through cable hub'. This allows camera cables to pass through a rotating spindle and hub and on to a host computer. This allows multiple cameras with multiple cables to pass through the same hub without the need for a slip ring or other such limiting arrangement.

Camera Cable
The spindle is held within two bearings which are in turn held within the hub. The spindle is free to rotate smoothly. Attached to the bottom of the spindle is the arm, a hollow tube allowing the camera cable to pass through. At the end of the arm there is the 3D camera (not shown). The hub is suspended by 3 supporting legs (only 1 shown). The camera cable is routed out the top of the spindle and through the supporting leg and onwards to a pc (not shown)
